Chapters 14 to 16 in John's gospel, in which Jesus teaches his disciples during their final evening together, are some of the most profound in the New Testament. But they're not easy to understand. We're familiar with one or two highlights - 'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life', 'I am the Vine, you are the branches', but the conversation as a whole is difficult to follow, sometimes circular, often ambiguous and full of riddles and double meanings. Bill invites us to go a little deeper and shows us how to make sense of these important chapters.
